The Book…
When Ben McCord comes home from a business trip to find his young wife raped and murdered, he starts
out on a journey of death and destruction. Clues lead him to a dark world of drugs and violence in action that spans Texas, Colorado, and the Mexican border. McCord hooks up with a beautiful doctor, who was also victimized by members of the same drug cartel, and together they track down the killers, surviving bloody confrontations, and ending with a suspenseful climax in the Big Thicket of Texas.

To all you poor souls out there like me trying to sell books I would suggest the following:
If you don’t know Opera (or however she spells her name) and don’t have enough long green to buy the New York Times, I would suggest you rob a bank and when you are caught . . . tell the authorities that you needed the cash to publicize your latest book.
The media will pick this up and you’ll be awash with reporters who’ll sell your book for you. As you sit alone in your cell passing away the days, months and years of your incarceration, you will have ample time to write and count you money.
If this method fails to hit the spot with you . . . you might try committing suicide on television. One night when your station of choice happens to be broadcasting the local news, run in front of the camera and blow your brains out. Try to get next to the female anchor so she’ll be spattered with blood. This will definitely sell your book but I’m sure you can see a mild draw back to this scheme.
If all fails, go to the book reviewers. They are economical and won’t land you in prison and you have the added attraction that you will still be alive.
As you can see, I’m desperate–buy SCATTERED LEAVES!

Wow! This sounds like a real page turner. I love a good action packed story. Sigh… is there such a thing as too many books?
Oh my, this is one of the funniest things I’ve read today. And it would be half as funny if I didn’t think what you said might work.
Best of luck selling your books without stealing or killing yourself.

You might also try standing on a street corner selling oranges or strawberries with a copy of your book. Good luck and I believe that by word of mouth your book will sell.
LOL, everytime I read this, I crack up. Richard, you’re a hoot!
